Patrick Mweheire

Patrick Mweheire is a visionary financial leader and former Regional Managing Director and Chief Executive of Standard Bank Group for East Africa (2020–2023). He previously served as CEO of Stanbic Bank Uganda (2015–2020) and held senior roles in global finance, including in New York (1994–2012). Known for championing private-sector development and financial inclusion, he joined The Tumusiime Mutebile Foundation’s Board in 2022 to support economic research and opportunity creation. Mweheire holds an MBA from Harvard Business School, has chaired the Uganda Bankers Association, and was named among Africa’s Most Influential People by New African Magazine in 2018.
