Background Report on Turyahabwe Cosmas from his former school
While on a phone call with Scovia, a former chemistry teacher, mentor and counsellor to Cosmas Turyahabwe, during his time at St. Joseph’s Vocational School, Mbarara, she provided the following information.
Turyahabwe Cosmas did Biology, Chemistry, and Mathematics (BCM) where he consistently achieved excellent grades and stood out as one of the best performers. He scored 14 points where it was a disappointment to him and the school. He opted to repeat S.6 but because of the financial status of his family, the father was unable to pay for him to repeat.
Financially, as far as Scovia is concerned, Cosmas is from a family that is financially unstable and as a good performer, he was always supported by the old boys of the school and some other people used to help in providing his needs at school including scholastic materials and this was a big relief to the family and this enabled him to complete his secondary education. Beyond academics, Cosmas is known for his exemplary character, is respectful, responsible, and empathetic toward others
