Hon. Matthew Rukikaire

Hon. Matthew Rukikaire is a distinguished statesman and business leader with over five decades of experience in governance, economic policy, and institutional leadership. As the founding Chairman of the Tumusiime Mutebile Foundation, he shaped its strategic vision and commitment to economic research and policy excellence. A former Minister of State for Privatization and Investment, he championed reforms that transformed Uganda’s economy. He also chaired the Makerere University Council (2006–2010). Educated at Makerere University and Harvard Business School, Hon. Rukikaire brings deep expertise in public-private partnerships. As Chairman Emeritus, he remains a mentor and champion of youth empowerment and good governance.
