Professor Eriya Hisali

Professor Eriya Hisali is a respected economist, academic leader, and policy advisor currently serving as Principal of the College of Business and Management Sciences at Makerere University. With a PhD in Economics, his work focuses on monetary policy, financial stability, economic growth, and human capital development. He has advised Uganda’s Ministry of Finance, worked with the Bank of Uganda, and consulted for international development agencies. A strong advocate for linking research to policy, Prof. Hisali joined the Tumusiime Mutebile Foundation to support evidence-based development. He is widely published and committed to community development through education and economic empowerment.
